About Us
Welcome to The Explorers Preschool. We are committed to providing each family a positive preschool experience. Our philosophy at Explorers is to provide an atmosphere that allows the child freedom of choice in a safe, nurturing and happy environment. We believe that it is essential to develop a good rapport with each child and parent based on open communication and mutual respect.
Our goal at Explorers is to help each child develop a positive self-image, to become an active self-directed learner. To learn to express themselves verbally, to learn to function appropriately within a group, to develop self-help skills to foster health and independence, to develop fine and gross motor coordination, and above all else enjoy being a child and have FUN!
Our classrooms at Explorer's are divided into several areas: Dramatic Play, Construction, Art and Writing, Sensory, Math and Science, Table Toys and a quiet Reading Area. During "Free Play Time" the children may choose the area in which they want to play. They may switch areas at any time. The children will learn to keep toys in their areas, pick up after themselves, share and respect each other and work together.
